Winter hair deserves

An extra moisture shot

I don’t know about any of you, but this extreme cold is playing havoc with my hair.

Between the dryness and the static (never a great look) it’s not a brilliant time for my locks to flow. When the Lovea Moroccan Argan Brilliance Shine Shampoo and Bio Burkina Shea Moisturising Hair Mask  landed in the office for review, I selfishly grabbed it and smuggled it out of the office before the others even knew of its existence!

About the products…

Shine Shampoo: certified organic and formulated with Moroccan Argan Oil (used for its nutritive, regenerative and anti-ageing properties) this shampoo is jam packed with vitamins (Vitamin F & Vitamin A to improve elasticity and Vitamin E to protect against free radicals) and no SLS or other nasties in sight. £4.99 150ml

Hair Mask: this moisturising mask is designed to restore damaged hair shafts, help prevent split ends and recommended to dry, damaged and treated hair (that’ll be mine then). It’s full of Shea butter which I normally associate with body butters. £7.99, 300ml

Absolutely LOVE the shampoo. Firstly, there’s no SLS in it, so no scratchy, itchy skin and extra dryness. Secondly, adore the fragrance thirdly, the price is fabulous at £4.99! It  lathers up well, you just need a little bit of product for clean, soft hair. 5/5

The hair mask took a little getting used to. The texture is a little odd and it disappeared into hair quickly so I was tempted to put more on. Once I’d got my head around the fact that it’s a mask NOT a conditioner and wouldn’t feel the same, my expectations changed.

I only left the product on for about 5 minutes (my hair isn’t thick enough to leave for longer) but if your hair is really damaged you can leave for up to 30 minutes. A great excuse for a long bath.

Once rinsed, it was fairly easy to get the brush through my hair and after blow drying on a more gentle heat, it was clear that my barnet definitely had benefited from using the mask; smoother, softer to touch and shiny too. I was able to wear my hair down the next day which meant no unnecessary greasiness too! 4/5

I am genuinely impressed with these Lovea hair products and given the price points they compete with supermarket prices too.

Think I will be trying the conditioner and Leave In products next!

The Lovea products are available from mypure.co.uk or feelunique.com

Burkina Shea Butter (for dry hair) melts quickly at room temperature and absorbs rapidly without leaving a greasy feeling. It is a great anti-inflammatory, emollient and helps maintain moisture levels. It is renowned for fading scars and helping lessen the irritation of eczema and psoriasis.

So how was it?
