5 ‘Free Tibet’ Komodo T shirts to be won – ended
Great t shirts for a good cause
Ethical fashion pioneers, Komodo have been passionate supporters of ‘Free Tibet’ for the past 20 years, raising money for Tibetan charities and working closely with the Tibetan community that has been producing their garments since 1988.
In May 1995, Chinese occupying forces abducted the six year-old Panchen Lama from his home in Tibet. His whereabouts and welfare remain unknown.
The Chinese government later named and installed its own Panchen Lama who has recently made a series of public appearances promoting Chinese rule in Tibet.
The Panchen Lama will turn 21 years old on 25 April 2010. In the Western World, this birthday normally represents independence and total freedom. For the Panchen Lama, it signals his 15th year in captivity.
To mark and pay their respects to the Panchen Lama’s 21st birthday, Komodo have collaborated with campaigners ‘Free Tibet’ to produce a t-shirt, which will be used to raise awareness of Panchen Lama’s disappearance, and the struggle of the Tibetan people.
The t shirts feature an olive branch and a dove, emphasising the peaceful struggle for freedom made by the Tibetan people.
These t shirts will be retailing at £20 each but we have five to give away. For your chance to win, enter your details below by 23 May 2010.
Free Tibet will also be holding a candle lit vigil in his honor on 25 April, between 7-9pm at St Martins in the Field Church, Trafalgar Square, London and also outside the Chinese Embassy in London.
