Pretty Pina Cloth dress

Looking at this dress has made me positively long for the summer.

Produced entirely from the leaves of the Pineapple plant, Pina Cloth is gossamer that is thin yet strong enough to construct beautiful light and airy summer garments.

This fantastic alternative to silk is Fairtrade and is still made using the age-old traditions that have been used to make it for hundreds of years.

Boutique Ethique’s S/S09 collection uses lustrous Pina cloth produced by a Fairtrade family-run company in the Philippines who employ 85 weavers and insists on maintaining the traditional techniques, such as manual extraction of fibre, and preserving the cultural heritage of the weaving industry.
