Goodone grows up
Elizabeth spots a brand to suit all body shapes at Estethica
Ethical fashion favourite Goodone shone at this year’s Estethica with a confident, well crafted collection.
Since the last time I saw Goodone at LFW, it has matured into a label that has transcended its humble roots. The collection, in the hands of Lynne and Clare, consists of fabulously well made garments made to celebrate the female form.
Their clever use of panelling means they are suited to any shape or size. Whether giving curves or accentuating ones that are already there, everyone is catered for.
Goodone has increased its options by buying in roll ends from mills in Huddersfield. This would have normally been waste, but Goodone have put it to good use. This fabric allows the label to have a consistent range for buyers and customers.
The range has two stand out dresses, one of which has panels that flatters the female form and shows off curves. The other has a heavy, well made crochet detail on the front which, because of the way it is built in, suggests a lot but gives plenty of support.
As with previous collections, Goodone has constructed its collection in a way that makes the best use of the fabric, but the construction has moved the label forward. The finish on the garments is beautiful and I confidently say, they will last a lifetime.
When we spoke to Clare she told us that the company is more than happy to make bespoke pieces from the collection to match your size. As all the clothing is made to order, specifying the size of a piece to fit you is not a problem. This is almost couture fashion for the ethically concious consumer.
We believe in this brand so much, that Charlotte and I have already chosen the dresses we want, and will be buying them made to order ASAP.
Get on the Goodone bandwagon, and get on it now.
