Strking design by Mia

The Ethical Fashion Forum’s bi-annual competition INNOVATION has announced the winners of their Spring/Summer 2010 sustainable fashion design competition.

The two winners to be showcased at the premiere London fashion trade show, PURE are Lalesso and Mia.

Judges were impressed with the detail of finishing, particularly smocking of the Lalesso collection, and high quality manufacturing and training, which is being implemented in Kenya by the brand.

Mia was chosen on the coherence of the collection, showing a clear direction and obvious room for development and its innovative approach to ethical fashion.

The quality of entries to this years INNOVATION competition was outstanding, both in design and sustainability terms. The vetting panel have been working overtime to come up with the winners, and the two designers selected to show at PURE are sure to be future big names in the fashion arena.
