‘It’s all about ideas, great green ideas.’

This was Paul Tuite’s philosophy when he set up ECOutlet in 2007. It’s an online store providing wonderful eco gifts and sustainable home furnishings.

Many daisygreenmagazine.co.uk readers may have already come across ECOutlet but if you’ve not checked out the website for a while you may be in for a surprise as the company has recently undergone a lovely new makeover just in time for Christmas.

Speaking of the revamp, Paul says,

‘We wanted to make it clear and easy for customers to see why our products are eco friendly and give a little more background on the people behind the range so we introduced two new sections to the product pages – Why am I eco? and Who made me?”.

Many of ECOutlet’s suppliers are small businesses or individual traders trying to do something ethical and worthwhile. They all have interesting stories to tell – how the products are made, where the recycled materials are sourced from or what inspired them to make their product range.

The newly designed product pages now highlight this information for customers and make the whole shopping experience a little more informative and transparent with people able to learn exactly where the item they are buying has come from.

With Christmas just around the corner, ECOutlet also has an impressive gifts section with hundreds of ethical, sustainable and recycled goodies to help make the season of giving a little less stressful on the planet’s resources. Favourites include the recycled cardboard toys for kids, the ethical jewellery section and a great range of glassware made from recycled beer, wine and champagne bottles.
