Throughout the Copenhagen Climate Summit, Green Award Winning Mazzard Farm Holiday Cottages planted a tree for every guest making their own personal climate pledge.

Mazzard Farm recently received a Silver Award for Sustainability in the 2009/10 South West Tourism Excellence Awards and carries the prestigious Gold Award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme.

Now they have plans to reduce their environmental footprint further still, as well as giving guests the opportunity to help.

Owner, Ruud Jansen Venneboer, said ‘The way we travel can make a huge difference to our planet, and here at Mazzard Farm we have worked hard to offer people a luxury holiday alternative that leaves only the smallest possible environmental footprint.

‘And from talking with many guests, we know that quite a few have changed some of their habits after having experienced first-hand what possibilities exist. Asking people to make a personal pledge is just a small further step in that process.’

The Mazzard Family Cottages were converted from barns in 2008. Situated in one of the UK’s best holiday spots, East Devon, the cottages can house up to 24 people. Weekly rentals start at £350.
